Dana Air recently celebrated her 8th anniversary with initiatives that positively touched its over 630 staff members, and customers.

The airline explored the 8th anniversary to reward some of its deserving staff and customers with exciting gifts. Apart from rewarding customers who flew on its anniversary with free tickets, the airline organised the second edition of its annual anniversary football competition for its staff. The competition , won by the the admin staff of the airline, is one of the unifying initiatives the airline has created to ensure that its staff members dont just work but play. The airline also believes that, if staff members are happy, they will in turn treat customers well.

According to the airlines' spokesman, Mr, Kingsley Ezenwa, who spoke to newsmen, during the staff appreciation party; '' we are celebrating 8th years of providing hospitality and convenience to our passengers and this wouldn't have been possible without our amazing workforce at Dana Air. We value our customers and we believe if your staff members are not happy, they wont treat your customers well.''

Commenting further , Kingsley said, there was a false story about our pilots going on strike some months back for non- payment of salaries and i ask, if we do not pay or keep our staff happy, they wont be here dancing and having a good time. We disregard some of these rumours, because we are committed to our vision , which is to be recognized and respected as Nigeria's most reliable and customer -friendly airline.

He added that the Dana Air airlifted over 4m passengers in 8 years and in spite of the challenges facing airlines' in the country, Dana Air has remained strong. He attributed the airlines' consistency to its shrewd managerial style, loyalty and passion of its staff and the support of its teeming guests.

The week-long anniversary was capped with the staff appreciation dinner and grand launch of the airlines' rebranded uniform.

Dana still remains one of the best airlines in Nigeria.
