What is the prospect of a newcomer in the block industry business in the East?

There is a consideration for fully mechanized block and interlocking moulding in the East to keep my people busy.
Any suggestion(s) will be highly appreciated.

It's a good business any day, very tasking and as problematic as everything in Nigeria of the moment because the operator runs his entire business without any government help, police, local council officials and even area boys will all want to exploit the operator .

But the prospects are bright because there is a high demand for blocks in the east as most people are building one form of structure or the other. For any entrepreneurs who can survive the first year in block making and make some small profit, there is hope going forward that he can succeed in the business going forward.

But block is a location business. You need to be on the front of the road to enhance ease of people buying from you. You also need to have space enough to pack as much stock as possible. Another important point in the location of a block industry is to find a place where new building are going up in hundreds. A new layout where multiple buildings are in progress will sell more blocks than an area which is filled with old buildings. Eg. One day area of Enugu and coal camp.
