seunny4lif: Exactly it was only given away due to a drunk fit. Besides they held referendum anyway to join Russian. The USA plotted the Coup in Ukraine. The Victoria Nuland helped you can hear her bugged phone calls. He's full of bad arguements today. |

Noneroone: Nowhere was it stated in that link, that a large part of Rivers state will cease to be regarded as SS. In a democratic setting, the modern way to classify or group a certain people, is to give them a referendum to choose their course, just as Southern Cameroon was given theirs by the British Govt to remain in Nigeria or join Northern Cameroon, they chose the later. If we remain in a Democratic setting and it gets to point to determine region for Rivers indegenes, the decision will be left with their Chiefs, at best a referendum is conducted. |

seunny4lif: LOL if I were Yoruba, I'll take it to Ekiti, in a bid to develop Ekiti-least developed SW region. Ibadan had had it and it developed it, Lagos is developed, so is Ogun. If possible you can have 3 capitals in 3 different states for the 3arms of Government- it ensures more independence. That way the 3 states become limelights in outer world/becomes exposed. |

In Federalism, there are NO regional capitals, only state capitals. A few states can opt to come together in order to be viable and choose wherever they want as capital. The question is that resources from one section of the country should not be used to almost exclusively develop the north. Once, the issue of resources is sorted out, almost 99.9% of the troubles we face in Nigeria will disappear because they are all about people trying to cheat others of their resources. 1 Like |

OreMI22: Agreed the wheat from chaff will be sorted out. Foolish states like Jigawa that spend scarce resource on building 90 mosques will crumble under weight of bad decisions. The smarter states will get richer. |

For SW Lagos can't be, because if is a financial and economic power house. Ogun is an industrial power house. Oyo is also really big. Osun may work well as a capital. |

Funnicator:That is why it should be capital. It being capital will develop it. It also has the most spiritual and cultural significance to Yoruba's. |
