Using your line to receive calls only is THE BEST THING that can happen to them.

For every minute of call you receive, they receive N3.90 from other operators

N3.90 is the interconnectivity rates that's rate charged by operators when they call each other. So if other networks call Etisalat number often, N3.90 /mins of calls goes to their account but the calling party wouldn't charge her subscriber that rate instead they add a margin to make some profits. That's why you see MTN and others charging 11k/sec or N6.60 to all networks plus N5 or N10 access fee to cover other fixed cost. So they make a gain of about N3/min.That's reason why most networks send unsolicited messages and forcing their customers to subscribe for services they didn't bargain for. This is as a result of stiff competition from their competitors.

Etisalat and Mtn are the king of stealing credit now.

It used to be Airtel, but now, even in load 100000 on my phone and leave it for 10years, they won't deduct a thing.

Mtn always shoving their nonsense calltertunes down your throat.

Etisalat is the maddest. They just deduct your money for a service you don't even know existed.
