Hello all the bosses in the house.

I just acquired 2 separate plots of land very close to each other.
One plot measures 35ft by 145ft while the other is the standard 50ft by 100ft.

The first one which measures 35ft at one side increases to measure 45ft at the other end. Not a perfect rectangle. But the length measures 145ft to compensate for the shortcomings of the breadth.

I wish to build my private residence on one of the plots and build flats for rent on the other. I am looking at the possibility of having twin 2 bedroom flats and a room and palour self contain which will be available for rent.

My own apartment will be a 3 bedroom flat by God's grace.
I need advise as to which plot I should use for my personal apartment and which should be for the rented flats.
Any advise also on how to make the best use of the long plot of land is welcomed. None of the plans I stated above is cast in stone. I am welcome to better plans and ideas from more experienced hands on this platform.

Depending on the Locality and Immediate Environment..

I wouldnt recommend any structure on that land until i see a detailed Survey layout and or Existing Structures around it..

Cos they wuld influence the Design and Function of the Structure yu place on that piece of land

U r welc. I think that is the best option... every advice you get here is theoretical. And the one you get from an expert/professional on ground safes time, money and gives you rest of mind. Make sure you get a competent one. Wish you best of luck with your project.

My brother! The type of house to build is not the problem. The problem is what did you want to build. An arcitect will ask you your opinno first before given you ideal. That is how we work, we can dicide for client. Questions: what do you want to build? How many bedroom? Should each bedroom have toilet? How big/large you want the room and the parlour to be include the toilet? What of kitchen how large is it? There are questions about landscaping. The survey of your land or land measurement are not the first thing to architect. Please, kindly visit or consult your architec for proper design. Thank you

To my best advice concerning your land, assume the land was very close by, I would have suggested we should try getting on there, but to 145ft you talk about, very simple.... A short question ( how many road link to your land line?) if have 2road,let who ever want to Artitech on land use these methods, divide 145ft by 2 and leave the 35ft for a convinced 3 bed room with 4 car park with out stress....
