Very good advice. Just keep your head up and continue working hard Frank. You have to be somewhat quiet about some of your plans. Don't reveal much to co-workers. Another thing you do NOT want to do, at least here in Corporate America, is talk about salary, or let others know your salary.

Your manager is no different...you can rise to replace her....you have no friends in a competitive environment. I doubt whether the manager will have you promoted in January.... don't they need PT supervisors now for the sooo many helpers they hired for this peak period?...that they will lay off in January?
Just keep on working at the same pace you used to. If you do get promoted...be very mindful of how you speak to your wards..... what you say and how you say whatever....people here are very sensitive to the way they are spoken to...speaking to someone in a condescending way is a big no no. Just saying.
You live and you learn......just go with the flow.
