Why all the complaining? How many of us still have our first bible? I have used up to three that I am sure ended up In the dustbin.

To some too much emphasis has been placed on the physical book. They place it under their pillows for protection, they place it on the head of a sick person. They point it to persons they perceive to be evil like a gun so that they can shoot bullets at the demons.

They have turned the bible to an idol or charm. We have to be careful of "pseudo idols"

Well it's just paper and ink. The value is not in the book itself the value is in the word when it touches a divinely prepared soul hence bearing good fruits.

My brother, like you rightly said, he cannot try this with our brothers at the other side of the divide. It is either he is in the hospital or in some ice cooling off already. I don't blame them sometimes though, the world is just filled with crazy people always waiting for the opportunity to show their insanity.
