I disagree with your number 5. That should be Oba Akran way not Queen's drive. It's not even as popular as Oba Akran way at Ikeja.

Queen's Drive, Ikoyi is incredibly popular. That's where the Lagos Regatta has been held since the 1970s. The former residence of the Chief Of Naval Staff is there, so also is the former residence of the Commander Brigade of Guards. Sir Louis Ojukwu's former house, Villaska Lodge, is on Queen's Drive, so also is Chief Sunny Odogwu's house.

People go to Queen's Drive to take nice pictures of Victoria Island (across Five Cowrie Creek ) and to take boat rides. The French Embassy/Consulate is also on Queen's Drive. President Babangida renamed it Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, but everybody still calls it Queen's Drive.

Land and seascapes of Queen's Drive have been part of some of the most popular shows on Nigerian TV. The opening theme of Ripples featured a view of Queen's Drive (from a boat on the creek) and it was always shown on Checkmate (the exterior view of the Hatherop ' house is actually the exterior view of Chief Sunny Odogwu's house ).

But it's not about popularity, it's about interpretation of the symbols. The steering wheel = Drive, the crown = Queen. If they had meant Kingsway or Oba Akran Way, it would have been a crown and a street.
