Anambra's Quest For Collective Efforts To Development Receives Another Boost 27 DECEMBER 2016 Ndi Anambra are now harkening to the clarion call by Governor Willie Obiano for Indigenes of the state to bring home their businesses as was witnessed in Umuchu over the weekend where a hotel was dedicated. The hotel named Honeywell hotel is owned by an Umuchu born philanthropist, Mr Godwin Ezeemo. Performing the dedication, Most Rev. Christian Efobi Who is the Dean Emeritus and Archbishop, Province of the Niger, said that the official dedication of the Honeywell hotel in the state was a product of Akulueuno embarked upon to reposition Anambra state as an investment destination which is aimed at lifting the hospitality industry as well as boosting employment opportunities in the state. Most Reverend Efobi Who described the hotel as world class said it will help in addressing some of the challenges in the state like unemployment calling on the staff to put in their best in ensuring that the opportunity given to them is utilized. Describing Mr. Godwin Ezeemo as a true Anambra blood, the Bishop of Amichi diocese, Right Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor commended his efforts in every area of human endeavor, urging Ndi Anambra in diaspora to emulate such think home philosophy which he noted is in line with the state Government plans in repositioning the state On his part the Director Honeywell hotel, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo said his decision to develop the property is to transform both the immediate community and the state in general in order to make Anambra the beauty of Africa, calling on Ndi Anambra in diaspora to bring back their wealth home as a tree does not make a forest. Mr. Ezeemo who recounted some of the challenges faced by investors to include power outage, lack of access road and portable water, pleaded with the state government to expedite actions in tackling some of these challenges. Also speaking, Mrs. Nneka Ezeemo thanked God for the dedication of yet another edifice and urged the State citizenry to contribute their quota to the development of the state and to reshape the social-economic landscape of the state. Dedication of the hotel proper as well as prayers for the staff and management formed the Highpoint on the occasion. 1 Like
