Last generation, got admission on merit, Jobs on merit, without knowing anyone or being friends to well placed individuals or knowing people who knows someone or knows people, only on merit ..
They were opportune to attend good schools, many of them sitting in their fathers compound or attending to their farms or fathers farm in the village, or where ever they are, were called/invited for interviews, scholarships and were scrutinizes base on the formula available at that time,
They enjoyed life, did things as at when is due, the Government cared for them, the little they could to make life comfortable for them with the level of system and structure on ground.
