Hmmm

But there were many things that were seen as facts before science confuted them . Like the atheists thought the universe was eternal , science proves that is false . Atoms were thought to be indivisible , modern science proved that wrong . Newtonian gravity was replaced by General relativity etc.

And the dome cosmology was seen as mythology but the ancient Greeks still saw the earth as spherical and incorporated their geocentric model of the universe to that view .

Even the Catholic Church I think saw the earth as spherical and chose the geocentric model of the universe .
