Splinz:One thing I don't like about most of you who claim to be Christians is twisting words to your favour. Where did I say if you believe in John 10.10 , all your sins are forgiven, I said. I prefer relating with the father on spiritual ways than through physical means I.e images, but does not mean if people feel like looking at supposedly pictures of Christ will increase their fondness of him, it should be frowned at. Have I in anyway advocated worshiping those images. People like you make others scorn Christianity. |

Proudlyngwa:Lol you didn't respond to the question I asked... Did you see "or likeness"? and why trying to separate Image from graven image? On which authority are you even arguing? Which pictures of which Jesus? was camera in existence during Jesus' time? Do you have a picture of Pontius Pilate? If you don't have that of a high ranking Roman officer, how much more picture of Jesus that wasn't a wealthy man? |
Re: Christianity, Idolatory And Worship Of Four "Fake" Jesus by TonyeBarcanista(m): 6:11pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
Proudlyngwa:Oga worship through ANY image is Idolatry irrespective of how it may or may not suit you. The authority is Ex 20:4 and it can't be modified to accommodate any individual... Truth is bitter 1 Like |

TonyeBarcanista: Lol were cameras in existence then, Na you dey ask this kain question. So were drawings in existence then. Is it his image that is important or his message. Have people seen visions and had dreams involving Christ. What did they say. |

TonyeBarcanista:You are embarasing yourself kindly point to where I have advocated worship through image. |
Re: Christianity, Idolatory And Worship Of Four "Fake" Jesus by Proudlyngwa(m): 6:17pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
TonyeBarcanista: In such paragraphs, the Bible is against making images for worship, not remembrance. |
Re: Christianity, Idolatory And Worship Of Four "Fake" Jesus by Splinz(m): 6:18pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
Proudlyngwa: So what do you called such things like "picture of Jesus"? Here is your comment: Many things were not covered in the Bible. This is a subtle endorsement of idolatry. This is because in the Bible, these things are condemned! And then you went ahead and dismissed such practices as inconsequential, as long as one is leading a good life. How will you described an act of bowing and praying in front of an image of Jesus or Mary? Is that not idolatry? |
Re: Christianity, Idolatory And Worship Of Four "Fake" Jesus by Proudlyngwa(m): 6:22pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
Splinz:Like I said you people twist peoples words to fit you. What is more important, the image or the message. If I have a drawing that makes me love the saviour more, whether its his picture or not. How is it bad. Once again where have I advocated worship of such image. Kindly reference or apologize. |

Re: Christianity, Idolatory And Worship Of Four "Fake" Jesus by Splinz(m): 6:36pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
Proudlyngwa: You see! Accept that this is your wisdom, and in God's agenda, it is in vain! (Mark 7:7). This is because a picture of Jesus can never makes you love him more. Why? Because "love is fulfilling (keeping) the law" (Romans 13:10). Oga, you are subtly endorsing idolatry. Sorry, I have no apology to tender. |

TonyeBarcanista: I just tire for some people eh... Simple instruction: don't do this thing! Them sey lie lie... we must do it our way; after all, it doesn't matter (they must find a way to rationalize it!). |

Splinz: Speak for yourself, I have never advocated worshiping any image, and a lot of things increase my fondness for Christ. I believe this dialogue is meaningless as in Christianity a lot of things are symbolic and as I said the bible does not cover a lot of things. You can twist my words but I will leave you with this. Numbers 21.8 |
Re: Christianity, Idolatory And Worship Of Four "Fake" Jesus by Splinz(m): 7:02pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
Proudlyngwa: Speak for yourself I am speaking the mind of God through His word. You have a problem with that? I have never advocated worshiping any image You did, subtly. I believe this dialogue is meaningless as in Christianity a lot of things are symbolic and as I said the bible does not cover a lot of things. Of course, meaningless to one who's not contented with God's word. For your info, the Scriptures as we have it is perfect in instructing one unto salvation and righteousness (2 Timothy 3:15-16). So all this talk of "the Bible not covering a lot of things" is shallow! You can twist my words but I will leave you with this. And you think Numbers 21:8 is an endorsement of idolatry? Typical Catholic! In Numbers 21:8, we see that the commandment was given to Moses for a 'specific' reason. Who gave you the command to make graven images and bow down or pray before them, and for what purpose |

Proudlyngwa:don't tell me you can't understand that verse as a Christian that I believe you are That pole represent cross And the bronze snake represent christ Finally, the snake that bite represent Satan The world we are is been control by Lucifer(the ground where those snakes are belong to the snake) and he has the power to kill and destroy anyone he want to, but when you look up to Christ (the Bronze Snake on the pole) for help, he (Christ) will save you. Please let us read bible with open mind and also pray for understanding when reading it Peace. |

EvangelistNdudi: And where did I say it was not symbolic, just as other images of Christ. I said the supposed image of Christ symbolises something to people who have it, I have never advocated worshiping any image, and never will. What I don't understand is why the fuss with the image of Christ. In fact am going to get one more tommorow |

@Proudlyngwa my brother, try to relax and read through over and over again but do so more 'carefully' this time. Dogmatism odi kwa very bad. By the way, John 10:10 amongst other things you said have deeper meanings than the facial thought you've for them. @TonyeBarcanista, Splinz, EvangelistNdudi nice one Sirs! I couldn't have said it better. Pressing on the upward way... Daily renewal of mind... Solidification against all odds... God bless our race! Amen. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Proudlyngwa: It is not a popularity contest bro. I believe the Word of God is the basis upon which we're drawing our points. So if that same Word says something, why try to change it rather subtly? I perceive in my spirit that you haven't come to terms with the meaning of idolatory and its dangers as stated in the Bible. No one has a problem with the picture, same way we can't fault anyone for playing Jesus' role in movies. The book of Revelation and a few others in the Old Testament already describes the physical form of Jesus which we're to adore IN THE SPIRIT. The only pitfall is seeing believers giving obeisance to those images rather than channeling our thoughts/desires to Him on our knees through the spirit. Indeed, Jesus has no physical picture as of now but we shall be transformed and appear as He is when He returns. But would He find us faithful to Him in spirit or in images? Indeed again, the eternal life-form in John 10:10 is not one that tries to find convenience in heretic and/or misguided interpretation of the infallible Word of God. Such kind of life are released unto those known as "SONS" who would rather ask, "Father, is there a Word from you?" Finally, be reminded that the letters killeth but the Spirit gives life and quickens our mortal body unto reformation, hence mind regeneration takes place and we're made to abide by laid down principles. 2 Tim. 3:16 Humility... Reflection... Seeking... #JesusAboveAll Shalom |
