Jammeh did not act well. He could have arrange a coup using his loyal miliary who will stay in power for about 6months and thereafter organised a new election in which he Jammeh will also contest. He can then manipulate as usual of African leaders. Again sha ecowas need not interven unecessarily in Gambia's affair ecowas should allow the rule of law to take place. Let the court decide the issue. Force is never an option here. An interim government may come in until the case in. supreme court is concluded. Ecowas led by undemocrtic buhari must thread slowly buhariu

Stop commenting on what u don't know and misleading people with your ignorance passing fictions as fact.

The German constitution does not av term limit and Merkel did not make any attempt to change any constitution. She contested for primaries in her party and was nominated with abt 95% of d vote without any rancour last December. If u must know she will still win d main election cus dia is no credible opponent contesting against her. She will keep contesting for as long as she wants till she loses or resigns cus d constitution allows it and it was not Merkel that changed it.

I live in Germany so that's d fact. Stop misleading people on nairaland
Does that change d fact dt shez running for the 4th term, as she openly disclosed last November?

Wrong move by Barrow. Jammeh will not allow a flight with Barrow on-board to land in Banjul undecided So while his supporters would want to battle Jammeh, they would lack motivation and there ends

Yes cus she is legally permitted to do so and unlike some African leaders she didn't av to manipulate d constution and make d military shoot anyone to contest.

In fact she will win without having to rig d election or bribing anyone . Germans are not complaining, I don't get y u feel u should complain on dia behalf by peddling lies

The group has warned that it will consider

However, Nigeria has taken the lead in
pressuring Mr. Yahya while the country's
House of Representators has even went a step
further to offer him a political sanctuary in
Nigeria if the need arises. Nigerian president
Mr. Muhammad Buharu has been very vocal in
asserting his demands. Initial reports from the
Nigerian local newspapers surfaced that
Nigeria has raised multiple battalions for
immediate forward deployment to the Gambia
which was later denied by the military.
This type of military deployment is not new to
the Nigerian military since it has conducted
similar operations in Liberia and Sierra Leone
few years back. Although diplomatic approach
is currently being used in resolving the crises
but if it fails, would Nigeria and Ecowas be
willing to use military force? Nigeria which is
one if Africa’ s most powerful country and the
obvious regional superpower has always been
a staunch supporter of democracy and the rule
of law.
