5 HABITS OF SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS
Being a successful student doesn’t necessarily mean that you are a first class student. It is no news that only the exceptionally book lovers who know their onions in answering questions attain that level. Being successful means that you have to strike a balance between your books, and every other area of your life. Here are some vital habits that we think you should pick up to be a successful student.

1. Get Organized. Try to arrange a plan on how you are going to spend your day. Although this might seem difficult in the beginning, try to follow through in doing this. Ensure that you follow the plan strictly, and you will have things become easier for you. Studies shows that those without a plan spend more time complaining about how to achieve things than those who have. It prompts you on what to do in every instance, so you get a balance in your life.

2. Review yourself regularly. This is one particularly important trait of successful students. Reviewing yourself helps to know just what you are good at, and what you lack. Having trouble with some courses? Then spend more time with those courses. Or have you been missing out on buddies lately? You should know your books won’t stay by your side when you are sick.

3. Study hard. Of course, what do you expect? You are in the school for something. While it might be good to hang out a few times, never do so at the expense of your books. Find the study methods that work for you and stick to it. Take practice tests and be always prepared.

4. Get enough sleep. Apart from your regular night rest, it is recommended that you get some afternoon sleep as well. Maybe an hour or two thrice a week won’t be a bad idea for your mid-day siesta. It helps you to stay alerted and concentrate more. Studies also shows that you tend to remember things more when you sleep in the afternoon regularly. So never play with your sleep.

5. Alternatives to school. This is a very delicate one. Think of something that you would be engaged in if there is no school. Try to ponder about this and build on it. Think of ways you can earn money if there were no school! You are not too young to start something! It is no longer news that there is no job waiting for you after your degree. However, you should never do this to the detriment of your school. Always take your study first no matter the situation. Getting through college takes about four years what you get after the four years stick with you throughout your lifetime. Make wise decisions.
