Governor Ajimobi's Utterances: Chief Awolowo Rolling In His Grave Right Now. by drsugar: 10:33am On Jan 17, 2017
A sitting governor who was voted into office by the mothers of these protesting state owned university students called LAUTECH was shown in a video recently daring the students to do their worst despite their schools been locked up for several months under his constituted authority..

He also made a poorly constructed statement, asking one of the students that "What(which) course are you doing(studying)"?
To cap his condescending demeanour towards this students, he said he was disappointed that this are the type of people called university students in Nigeria and also instructed one of the police guarding him to make an arrest of one of the protesting students.

Looking at what the Great Obafemi Awolowo, Pa Ajasin and other Educationalist of the west laboured for in the past, I'm sure they will be very uncomfortable right now and rolling wherever they are in their graves.

The Public display of this arrogant, snobbish, condescending, bombastic, self glorifying, egoistic and topoloftical attitude shows that there is more to be desired in our leaders' characters.

He couldn't even construct a full statement without a semantic error yet was preoccupied with making condescending comments about those protesting students' worthiness.

This is not just about Gov. Ajimobi of Oyo state who obviously behaved like a spoilt child who doesn't know his responsibilities but also about so many leaders we have presently in Nigeria who are simply vagabonds In power.
They think they are more intelligent than the common man on the street, not realising it's only fate that has brought to each of us what he/she is.

TO ALL OTHER VAGABONDS IN POWER, THIS IS MY MESSAGE TO YOU: Your power (or constituted authority or whatever) is nothing if your people that you were elected to serve cannot get quality education, if your people are dieing of diseases that are preventable, if poverty is becoming the order of the day for your people, if you people are starving, if the wages of your labourers are being owed. You have no excuse for God's Sake.
You can call yourself a billionaire or millionaire or whatever but the same fate awaits both the poor and the rich at the end of this short life. Stop being irresponsible and serve the people that voted you in.[/b]

LAUTECH, Ajimobi, Constituted Authority and the Price of greatness

Two videos went viral last week and the main characters in that unfortunate videos was Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Governor of Oyo State; The constituted authority of the Oyo state as he described himself and the students of LAUTECH, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology; a higher institution of learning that has been closed down for over 7 months.

The Students of LAUTECH had on 9th of January protested the continued closure of the university since June last year 2016. However, while addressing the protesting students, an angry Governor Ajimobi told them to do their worst. The Oyo governor, whose state jointly owns the university, miffed by the outbursts of the protesting students, said the closure of the University for almost a session was no big deal.

Constituted Authority AjimobiDespite series of reckless outburst by the Governor, one would not expect any wise office holder in refined society and under a democratic scenery where a Constituted Authority gets the power through the votes of the students and their parent that he would say that ‘’This is the constituted authority for Oyo State. Even if I don’t pay salary or I don’t pay this and that, the fact is that I am the constituted authority. It does not remove that authority.’’

It will not be out of place to remind the governor that Constituted Authority means power and authority vested in him through the mandate of the Oyo people, some of the students inclusive.

Nevertheless, Senator Abiola Ajimobi Should have known as Churchill put it, the price of greatness is responsibility. This is a reworded slogan made famous by Spiderman’s Uncle Ben, who told him, “With great power comes great responsibility.”
