The governor of Imo, Governor Rochas Okorocha has stated that the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) has come to stay. He urged the Ibos to join the APC, because the had no better option at the moment, and could not afford to be in the opposition party. Adding that the political future of the Igbos can only be guaranteed in the ruling party,the All Progressives Congress (APC). He said,


“All indigenes of the South-East geopolitical zone should seize the opportunity offered to them by the ongoing registration of APC across the nation and register in mass in the party."

“APC is at the centre and in most states of the federation and what the south easterners should do is to wake up and identify with the government that has come to stay."

“Very soon we will be confronted with Anambra governorship election and we must maintain the peace and unity this party has enjoyed since inception in other to make wave in the election."

The problem with people like Rochas is that they think power is everything. What will APC do for Igbos? This same APC has made Nigeria worse than it was under PDP. The same Rochas is saying he wants APC to capture Anambra yet Rochas has not been able to run Imo state better than Anambra.

APC has nothing to offer Igbos and most Igbos will not be part of APC

Rochas is there talking nonsense. Imo state, even in APC, talkless of Nigeria, is not even represented in anything, from budget to projects to positions.
