The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, arraigned a former Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Emeka Mba alongside three others before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja on a 15-count charge of money laundering and procurement fraud to the tune of N2.8billion.

Mba was arraigned alongside a former director of finance, NBC, Patrick Areh, Basil Udotai and Babatunji Amure.

They were alleged to have at various times connived and transferred a sum of N2,899,723,500 from the account of NBC through various proxies for their personal gains.

Mba was also alleged to have used his office as NBC DG to award contracts without following due procurement process.

Shortly before the defendants took their plea, counsel to the fourth defendant, E. Is returning stolen money to this totally corrupt government advisable again? I mean Amechi, Fayemi, Fashola, SGF all have skeletons in their cupboards and all have been exonerated by Buhari.. Add that to the fact that what we always hear about the way the returned money will be spent is a 'general' statement that it will be "ploughed back into the budget".. Who is fooling who? I think it is better to return the cash when a sane government is in power. Returning looted funds to a corrupt government parading itself as a clean government with criminal characters that will ultimately loot the funds is wrong!

They have been 'persecuting' steadily. I'm sure u mean prosecute cos they are professional persecutors but have not the faintest idea of how to go about their legal responsibilities in the court of law.
