8 Ways To Stay Hydrated Other Than Drinking Water. by raphy(m): 6:52am On Jan 26, 2017 |
Goodmorning pals, There are many ways we can always stay hydrated other than drinking water everytime. So are 8 ways if you have anyother you can add to the list. No offense just be good. Have a blessed day pals 8 ways to stay hydrated other than drinking water. 1.celery Considering that celery stalks are made up of about 95 percent water, eating them is a good alternate way to stay hydrated. They also have nutrients like potassium and vitamin K, which is a nice bonus. Celery is not a big hit with everyone, since it has a rather unique taste all its own. 2.smoothies There are about a million different ways to make a smoothie, and most of them make for an excellent way to stay hydrated. You can put just about anything you want in a smoothie, including all kinds of healthy fruits and vegetables. Smoothies are also super-easy to prepare, and usually only require a blender and a knife to cut your ingredients into pieces before blending. 3.cofee At one time it was believed that coffee actually contributed to dehydration, since it is a diuretic, but more recent findings reveal that coffee is actually a good choice to help you stay hydrated. Black coffee without sugar is probably best for your health, since cutting down on sugar is always beneficial and the extra fat from cream or the artificial ingredients in many coffee “creamers” are probably not so great either. 4.cucumber Much like celery, a lot of folks may not care for the taste of cucumbers, but if you are not a big cuke fan, you may want to try getting your hands on some garden-fresh samples from a roadside stand or a farmer’s market. You would be surprised how much better a fresh cucumber can taste compared to the standard store-bought fare. Since cucumbers average about 96 percent water, they offer plenty of moisture to help you keep from getting dehydrated. 5.coconut water The coconut is enjoying something of a surge in popularity in recent years, and coconut water is definitely along for the ride. Coconut water does not have all the carbohydrates that so many of the sports drinks have, and coconut water has plenty of potassium, which is good for the muscles, and can help prevent cramps and spasms. 6.water melon Watermelon is a real superstar on this list, and not just because it boasts a 92 percent water content. It also contains salt, magnesium, and calcium which makes it a great replacement for sports drinks which are formulated to rehydrate, and provide essential electrolytes as well. Watermelon also contains vitamin C, vitamin A, and potassium. Watermelon’s sweet taste makes it something just about everybody likes. 7.strawberries Strawberries actually rival watermelon where water content is concerned, having 92 percent water, which makes them the number one berry for hydration. Fiber content and vitamin C make strawberries a tasty and healthy way to stay hydrated. 8.lettuce Iceberg lettuce is probably the variety we are most familiar it, and since it is about 96 percent water, you’ll definitely benefit from the hydrating properties of lettuce. It does not have a whole lot more going for it in the nutrition department, but as part of a salad, it can be complimented with a number of other ingredients to suit your taste. |

Water though would be the best choice always if possible...one cannot beat its health benefits. I have begun drinking coconut water and I absolutely am addicted to it. It has a unique taste..but I love it. Watermelon is a good choice on this list. |
