NNAMDI KANU; WHY REAL IGBOS ARE STILL BEHIND HIM!
Last month was October, 2016. The 18th day of that month clocked exactly one year, the leader of the INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA (IPOB), NNAMDI KANU OHAMADIKE was arrested and subsequently incarcerated unlawfully.
Certainly, if Buhari and his government knew the calibre of person Nnamdi Kanu was and the deep-sea impact his Radio Biafra commentary has made in the life of the Igbo people, particularly the exuberant members of the Eastern Nigerian societies, they wouldn’t have attempted to apply the antiquated arrest-approach on Nnamdi Kanu.
The arrest of this innocent and patriotic Biafran has in fact thwarted the political administrative mission of Buhari's government if he had any.
Truly speaking, Nigeria has never been the same since the arrest and incarceration of Kanu, yet the government pretend that everything is fine.
To get this article straight for journalistic objectivity, it will be reasonable to highlight some of the vital points that has prompted the Buhari's government to go uncivil; violating all constitutional regulatory provisions in the illegal arrest and unlawful incarceration of the world's newest, influential, crowd-pulling, and most popular Freedom Fighter, having the greatest number of honest, purpose-driven and patriotic human followers on earth. What was Nnamdi Kanu's sin? History has recorded one of the most gruesome bloodshed and unforgettable pogrom in human political combat. It remains Africa's greatest bloodbath and human devastation and biggest economic ravages in human history.

This war - THE NIGERIA AND BIAFRA WAR. killed three million Igbos, including the aged, women and children. The excruciating aftermath of the war left Ndigbo with terribly deplorable conditions and presented a horribly bleak future for Igbos. This was despite the fact that the war ended with a deceitful 'No Victor No Vanquished' agreement!

Again, it is important at this juncture to add the very obvious development that made the Nigeria/Biafra war the most odd and questionable war in human history. Why? This was the only war that saw the involvement and participation of strange and incompatible bed-fellows on one divide - all supporting Nigerians against the militarily ill-equipped Biafrans for economic interest!

Yes, that war was the only war where the Western capitalist Powers - Christians and the then Socialist Powers - USSR joined forces with the Islamic Extremists to fight against a small, primitive and the only African nation that was entirely Christians - the Igbos and their Eastern brothers - THE BIAFRANS! The ravages of that war remain the reason for Africa's irredeemable backwardness. It was the lost greatness of Africa.

That war clearly defined the true nature and disposition of a White man and questions deeply the unity, oneness and purity of the global Christian faith.

The cardinal cause of that war was the unwarranted killing of the Igbos in their thousands by the Hausa/Fulani in their bid to take control of the resources in Eastern Nigeria.

At the end of the war, an agreement was reached to ensure nothing that brought about the war would be allowed to happen again.

Alas, forty years after the war, the original causes of the war were made even more manifest in the political affairs of the Nigerian federation. Marginalisation of the Igbos became a pride of any government in power.

The north led by the Fulani shared the oil resources in the East to themselves to the utter detriment of the people of the oil producing communities. Killing of Igbos in large numbers became a common practice in the north.

A conspiracy to ensure that no Igbo man becomes President in Nigeria was named after the Nigerian Currency note, Naira, which means: "NEVER ALLOW IGBO RULE AGAIN"!

This and many more reasons necessitated the clarion call for Biafra in recent Nigeria. Nnamdi Kanu, being responsible, civilised and exposed toed the path of advanced civility in his desperate quest to restore Biafra in order to bring back hope to his people and create an enabling peaceful environment in which the maximum human potential of his people can be fully optimised for the good of mankind in general.

Kanu established a radio station called RADIO BIAFRA. It is crucial to state here that Nnamdi Kanu started his Radio commentary long before Buhari became President. In fact, his most impactful commentaries were made during the regime of Goodluck Jonathan as Nigeria's President. Because, Jonathan was a President with the sophistication of education, who understands that confronting Nnamdi Kanu and his Radio Biafra in any form or shape would give him catapulted relevance, which would make people who never knew his activities to notice him, Jonathan clinically ignored him and his commentaries.

Unknown to him and his government, Nnamdi Kanu was made the Super Human he is today by Buhari and his government. How? Sixty percent of those supporting Nnamdi Kanu today never knew anything about him prior to Buhari's ascension as Nigeria's President. Again, 30% of the Igbos backing him today with their might and resources didn’t know nothing about Nnamdi and his Radio Biafra until Buhari arrested and detained him unlawfully!

The LOVE and popularity Nnamdi Kanu enjoys today was made pronounced by the arrogance and despotic nature of Buhari and his people in handling the case of his arrest. Buhari jettisoned the law and abused all known constituted rules. He violated the constitutional provisions of law and dangerously undermined Nigeria's constitution as judicially interpreted by courts of competent jurisdiction.

Several court judgments have in many occasions acquitted Kanu of the illegal charges against him, yet Buhari has blatantly refused to obey these repeated court orders for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

This unconstitutional action of President Buhari and DSS has infuriated the people.

Above all, Kanu's unshakable determination and clarity of purpose are major characteristics that have put him at the top echelon of modern Freedom Fighters and earned him what he is today known as - OHAMADIKE NDIGBO, which means: "a people know who is their warrior"!
Kanu's unlawful incarceration has established one clear purpose, and demonstrated the unprecedented unity of the Igbos all over the world.

His detention has warranted a massive protest and agitation never before seen in Africa in recent time.

Tragically, his arrest and detention has also prompted other high profile extra judicial killings, which has remained under the cover of Western Powers. Thousands of young Igbos have been shot and killed in cold blood by the Nigerian police and military.

The clandestine support given to the atrocities committed Nigerian government by Britain and America is the resolve of Buhari's regime never to release the Innocent Nnamdi Kanu, but the will and determination of Igbos and their Eastern brothers to have a country of their own is their resolve to continue in their genuine support for Nnamdi Kanu's struggle for the actualisation of the sovereign state of Biafra!.

But the most astonishing aspect of this whole drama is the incomprehensive role of Britain in this vicious melodramatic saga. This is in fact the first time in history, where a responsible and patriotic man, who evidently possesses a legal British citizenship, is unlawfully detained in foreign and lawless country, yet Britain keeps mute and conspicuously maintains a taciturn disposition that is suggestive of utter encouragement. America, their counterpart in human crime has also seen nothing in the continued unlawful detention of Mr Kanu despite repeated court orders for his release.

So, what is the moral justification of Britain and America to speak against injustice and oppression in the global political human affairs?

How can these Powers promote peace and police erring democratic institutions? Can these two countries sincerely question oppressive actions of government rulers in other countries of the world when they are the visible tutors of political oppression?

Can they defend the unrestorable ravages of Buhari's government in present Nigeria, particularly the bizarre killings of innocent Biafrans in their land at the peace of sleep by the Fulani militia known as Fulani Herdsmen?

Notwithstanding these intolerable sacrileges against Nnamdi Kanu and his Biafran people and supporters, good understanding could still lead to a lasting peace if President Buhari can listen to the voice of the Nigerian people and obey court orders by releasing Nnamdi Kanu without conditions.

Oppression breeds agitation and resistance. Only Nigerians can resolve Nigerian issues and challenges.

Buhari's leanings on the unhealthy and interest-based advice from the Western Powers remain the catastrophe of his government, and the palaver of Nigeria's present predicaments.

Candidly speaking, those who love Buhari and Nigeria should urgently advise him against relying on the unscrupulous machination of the Western Powers, who do not regard Africans as humans.

Buhari must come back home to his countrymen and seek patriotic dialogue for a lasting solution. Seeking affinity with the entire north and Muslims and asking the western powers for help in any form or shape will only widen the gap of disunity and encourage further cry for disintegration of Nigeria.

To regain the confidence of majority of Ndigbo, Buhari can ignore the tragic pride in every man and do the needful for peace to reign - RELEASE NNAMDI KANU TODAY!

An excellent post , haters will never understand, you don't need to be a Biafran to know the truth or have empathy for oppressed persons. The posters above me just spewed trash without reason.
This post May never make FP coz of the say no to Biafra policy on nairaland but like the story of the chicken goes, it's not your business today - "e no concern me". Tomorrow it may be your turn to be oppressed and " e go concern you".

The Scottish. , Catalans and now Californians are taking a prescribed path...through the political process. It will be necessary to hear from the legislators and political party duly elected by the sponsors! agitators of the Biafran project. I have not heard anything from APGA,

Perhaps the proper process should start by insisting by pressing for genuine local goverment elections , now and subsequently at all other electip s leading up to 2019 . The cardinal principle should be the exit. Let the people elect those who stand on this platform from local to national level. Let the parties define their position. In this way , the people will speak and the legislators at all levels, elected on this platform, will have to Pursue it , table it st party ccaucus and the legislatures.

Until then, it is a futile exercise. I do not see any way out., other than the political process. as, it appears , some SE folks ate not in favour of a separate Biafra.

Meanwhile, this campaign should stick to its main theme and refrain from hurling vituperations against other sections of the country, their beliefs and way of life. It o ly heard up the polity, and in the process puts citizens life in danger.
