Cardiopulmonary resuscitation trainings need to be organised for people in places like markets, schools, churches and in fact everyone should have basic first aid training. That man would have made significant progress towards recovery if someone had approached him and done the right things. This is symptoms of a disorganised society, poor and inaccessible health care system. Even if no one knew what to do, couldn't they have called the right people (emergency/paramedics) to help? But then do we have such people in situations like this? Even if they exist, are people aware and how to contact them?? Nigeria is shyte. |
