The Controversy, Paul, Peter And The Church Today. by GodsMopol: 3:53pm On Feb 06, 2017
Before I start, I want to say, Holy men were moved to pen down whatever they scripted in the Bible, but we have many churches today, giving meanings to verses of the Bible without asking the Author, what He meant when He was writing His Book to the Church.

lemme introduce, Giant Peter on stage and please, no side talks, we are on the temple of God. loool, not funny right, you guys are always serious.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

no private interpretation, private interpretation in the sense that, you need the Holy Ghost that moved this men to write this books to also tell you what He meant to the Church and to the society and to you, when He said it.

now, here is my submission in line to the above sayings and title

2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as

our beloved brother Paul

also according to the wisdom given unto him

hath written unto you; 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things;

in which are some things hard to be understood,

which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest,

as they do also the other scriptures,

unto their own destruction.

Peter in those days knew that in some gathering were some teaching and heresies like among the catholics which they find very hard to understand. Another controversy I noticed is, many think going to seminary would make you a ready tool for the use of God, but Gaint Peter who wrote this, it was said concerning him and his co-followers, that they were ignorant and unlearned, imagine same Peter who was called unlearned in Acts, tagging some who went to seminary as unlearned, its just simple, Jesus said, the Father that liveth in Me doeth the work, not by certificate nor by seminary, but by the Spirit says the Lord of all Spirits.

Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
