After stamp Duty Charge finish d small money wen b de my account. I decided to visit them.
The person I met said ...the Stamp duty charge of #50. is charged on ur account for any deposit into d account (Greater than #1000) by any person not d owner of d account. Diamond bank said it is charged directly from/by CBN. It is charged in/on/from every bank. I think y d charge is not very heavy on our other accounts is may be we don't do much of second person deposit to those banks account or they charge immediately d transaction is done. The problem is they allowed it to accumulate b4 removing it.
The diamond bank accounts getting little or no Stamp duty charge are those that are either new or don't have much of second person deposits into d account.
Whatever d reason is I know what happened is not really good 4 business. Even on my side I think may be CBN wan shake Diamond, y make their own so visible.

the rule isnt applicable to savings account, also why is the charge just coming up after about 1year of its introduction?
