Not sure this is a good news, considering he was arguably our best CB and with JT's form declining with every game

we seriously need 1 or 2 solid cb.

WINS ALL ROUND FOR INTERNATIONAL BLUES

Salomon Kalou's Ivory Coast beat Italy 1-0 at Upton Park tonight thanks to a Kolo Toure header in the 55th minute.
The Elephants were without Didier Drogba, as he continued his recovery from hernia surgery but Kalou completed 85 minutes in West Ham's home before making way for Emerse Fae.
The eventual winners came close to scoring in the first half when Kalou's through ball found Gervinho, only for the subsequent shot to curl wide.
The Ivory Coast took the lead when a Demel Cross from the right flank was headed in by the Manchester City defender.
Elsewhere, England's Under 21 team boasted three Chelsea representatives as Michael Mancienne and Daniel Sturridge began a 2-0 win over Uzbekistan.
Jack Cork replaced Jordan Henderson at the beginning of the second half, which saw Sturridge have a hand in the opener when his shot was parried to Danny Rose. He in turn hit home from 15 yards out.
Substitute Martin Kelly sealed the win, heading in his nation's second with 76 minutes gone. Mancienne had a late chance for England's third but the score remained 2-0.

What could Chelsea be thinking selling Ricardo Carvalho, agreed he is old but common he is doing better than Terry and has always been a good cover up at the back

But he has since last year wanted to live. His departure will pave way for Alex to establish himself at Chelsea. Secondly, Michael Mancienne will also be considered.

on a serious note: I still have some confidence in the lad to produce the goods in Cech's absence, he is experienced and has risen to the most

difficult challenges in the past. I will attribute his woeful performance in recent times to drop in form which all goalies and players are subjected to.

Spot on.

I couldn't have articulated that any better. People are not giving him the credit he deserves. for a second choice goalie he has done a remarkable

job so far and has already gained my respect regardless of his future performances.

Wenger needs to buy a decent goalie if you are to be taken seriously and win laurels this season. as folli pointed out, your mediocre goalies

have cost you numerous titles in previous seasons and splurging on a decent/world class goalie would be a rewarding investment IMHO.
