Any government that can't solve food security in Nigeria is bound to fail. Over two millions Nigerians are in IDP. No clinic for them no foods for them. Things are just hard for them. Apc government have failed the masses and they will continue to fail with this their body language. So far Osibanjo is just playing politics. Making Apc to be more much in Niger delta. It is good I don't despise that. But the people you are governing are crying of suffering and hunger. Please where's the food taskforce they set up to reduce food prices and scarcity. The 8 Oil Producing States in Nigeria

1. AKWA IBOM

Akwa Ibom is the largest oil producing state in Nigeria accounting for 31.4% of the total oil produced daily. The capital of Akwa Ibom is Uyo and it is said to be the most beautiful city in the country. This state is a home to more than 5 million people scattered spatially in the 31 Local Governments of the state. 3 ethnic groups dominates this place and that is the Oron, Annang and Ibibio. Akwa Ibom is not only blessed with crude oil, it is also blessed with other minerals such as natural gas, salt, clay, limestone, coal, glass sand and giver nitrate.

2. DELTA

Delta with Asaba as it capital is the second largest oil producing States in the country producing about 21.56%. There is a refinery and a petrochemical plant in Warri, the heartbeat of Delta state. This state has 25 Local Government Areas with a population of more than 4 million. The major ethnic groups are the Urhobos, Isokos and the Itsekiris. Regarded as one of the richest state in Nigeria, Delta also have rubber, timber, fine sand and clay.

3. RIVERS

Rivers was ones the largest producer before Akwa Ibom took over from it as the largest oil producing States in Nigeria. Currently, Rivers refine more crude oil than any other state in the country. In terms of crude oil production, Rivers produce 21.43% of the total produce. The capital of Rivers is Port Harcourt, a city named after it founder. Rivers is regarded as one of the most populous cities in the country with a population of over 5 millions. Ethnic groups in this state includes the Ikwerre, Okrika, Upobo, Kalabari the Ubani amongst others. Rivers state is also blessed with enormous aquatic resources.

@ olaposiwaju, Akwa Ibom, maybe, but i sincerely doubt Delta state producing more oil than Rivers. Delta state has witnessed massive divestment by Oil majors due to dwindling returns. Additionally, they arent at maximum output now because they havent efffected all repairs due to NDA havoc. So you shud reconsider that ur stats.

Moreso, Rivers oil wells are hanging. Amaechi has ensured that Oil wells wrongly ceded from Rivers to Bayelsa and Abia because of his political rift with GEJ (a means to reduce his allocation) wouldnt be returned back to Rivers state until his preferred candidate is governor.

APC Rivers State chapter won't shout now because they are hosting their commissioner. Let it be a PDP thing now, radio go burst the following morning.
