The crickets are chirping, thick darkness surrounds me...
This is when i sit and think of the life around me...
Greatness seems as far-off as kano...
But as close by as my frontdoor
The taste of my ambition in my mouth...keeps me wanting more..
In my search and struggle i seem to push those that love me away...
So far gone with the end not in sight...
If it had been that I was not a dreamer
I would have had fewer sleepless nights
Cz sometimes I might...
Dream with eyes open fixed gaze on my goals...
The harder i try the harder it becomes...
But through it all I tell myself life...na one by one...
One foot in front of the next...
With squared jaw...nd determined chest
Achieve or die no time for rest..
For time is money on this my quest
I live I dream sweat tears and cry blood for my success...
BUT life na one by one...
So in the promise land still far but nigh...
Where on my bed of laurels I will lie...
Where once we walked but now we fly..
Immortalized never to die..
Ill look back on dis rugged road
Where once dejected i once strode...
where time and circumstance once abode...
and say yes...life na truly one by one
