Surprisingly, American brides didn't always wear white.

Through the 19th century, women in the US simply wore what they considered their best dress, as white cloth was impossible to clean by hand and was reserved for the wealthy.

Today, white is a go-to hue for brides around the world.

So, essentially, your church doctrines are sexist? Targetting the humiliation of non-virgin women?

What's the 'punishment' for non-virgin grooms-to-be? Nothing?
Let me suggest one:

How about the grooms are made to wear cream-coloured suits? You know, cream to represent the colour of the fluid the vagina coats the phallus with during sex. That'd be fair.
