EnigmaticEnigma:
That's why we need to have the right to own guns, if the state cant do it for us.

Think about how easy it would be to control this situation if the state was honest and zealous. They could have deployed the nearest helicopter available, 10-20 mins travel time and you already have a recon air craft. I don't even want to talk about drones, cause that is just pushing it, for our 10th century police force.

If you can't have rapid responses and perform critical operations, then please give us guns.

Just look at how many people are scared here, just because of probably some 5-10 thugs with guns. If half of these people here were packing small to serious heat, then lets see what will happen na angry

I'm just remembering those seized shotguns from customs now, meeen, I need one or two of those bad boys.

Would you want Nigeria to become Somalia or South Sudan
Why is it difficult to understand that government is not a remote entity but rather it is EVERYONE of us through our elected public servants at various levels that we pay very well to get the job done?
Why can't we understand something that our grandparents understood before the colonialists showed up?
If we are reasonable should we not insist that these public servants, the olopas and civil servants get busy to provide security as mandated instead of wasting their time posting selfies on the internet?

These photos of Missy Viv serving with the Nigerian Police Force in Lagos has turned social media around since it’s emergence.

She calls herself the youngest corporal, the slaying olopa. She’s so beautiful. see some of her pictures:

It was after the military arrived this morning, when the robbers had already left, that the travelers summoned courage to continue with their journey.

Yes is true our bus was attacked but we escape narrowly.
Method they use is blocking left half part of the road forccing driver to slow and drive using right part then they use heavy stone hit the windscreen a little in front is a burn bush fire smoke .
Strone throw is to confuse the driver and smoke screen is to force him to slow completely down.they refuse to shot us so as not to cause those luxury behind from hearing gun stot
They had pump action gun
Attach is picture of the luxury taken in the morning.
As you can see two hole on the wind screen.
For those asking for night picture hope you are well.

Our bus is the second to meet them but 1st to escape without been rob

Thank God no harm was done to you guys. It could be the same gang of robbers that robbed travellers early morning of Wednesday on Lagos-Ibadan Express way just after the Shagamu interchange.
The appropriate agencies should see to this, it's becoming worrisome.

Airrforce is not for routine criminal activity such as this, usually.
The Nigeria Police Force has an aviation section.

360frolic:
The photos below were taken in Abuja on November 21st when a helicopter belonging to the Nigerian police was used to distribute flyers to residents of the FCT.

The Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU) flyers are produced in English, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and Pidgin English Languages, and according to the Inspector General of police, Idris Kpotum, who also commissioned the flyers, they are for the benefits of the generality of Nigerians and to re-emphasize that the Police is a friend.

He added that the police is accessible to all members of the public, that the public can rely on them and appreciate the need to continue to cooperate and support the Nigeria Police Force throughout the country in carrying out constitutional duties and other tasks associated with the protection of life and property.

I dont think its still legal to carry armed escort, someone correct me if am wrong.. Even one escort with an AK 47 will find it difficult holding off a gang of robbers..
I agree with you.the escorts are first hit, before they begin to raid.
