Christians in Katsina, the home-state of
President Muhammadu Buhari, under the
aegis of the Chirstian Association of Nigeria
(CAN) have embarked on fasting and
prayers for the Nigerian leader.

The CAN in the Katsina confirmed on Monday,
February 20, 2017 that its members have
commenced a seven-day fasting and prayer
for the quick recovery of the president.
The association said in all, about 65,000 of its
members in the state embarked on the
exercise.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports
the CAN chairman in the state, Reverend
Nelson Onyeka Chukwu, as revealing this to
journalists in the state on Monday, February
20, 2017.
According to him, the prayer sessions would
be offered at Mountain of Fire Church at
Kofar-Kaura, Katsina and in six other
churches. Other churches where prayers
would be offered, according to him, include
the Church of God Mission, Calvary Baptist,
ECWA, St Martin De Porres Catholic Church,
and Cherubim and Seraphim.

He explained that the prayers would be
concluded next week at the St John’s
Anglican Church, Katsina adding that the
decision was made in recognition of the good
works the president started.
He said: “We are praying for our President’s
quick recovery because of the good works he
had begun for the country.”

It is better for one man to die (bubu) than for millions of Nigerians to die due to his economic hardship and his killer Fulani brothers.
