Quite a number of people are of the opinion that Nigerian universities aren't good. However this rot in the Nigerian educational system is more about inadequate funds and poor infrastructure than unintelligent researchers.

However, you may want to ask why Nigerian universities don't generally do better than S/A unis in Times rankings and its simply because while Nigerian institutions dp well on citations and research but fail when it comes to teaching, international outlook and industry partnership.

For Stellenbosch university which is d second screenshot for South Africa they actually had a research work on Nigeria's health care system so don't think the Screenshot was accidentally put there by mistake. The good news is by September THE rankings it is getting clearer that UI and CU may end up being ranked as top 6 Africa as both unis have been gathering high reads for their recently published work.
