Presidency have assented to 22 out of 25 bills by the lower chamber of the Nigerian legislative arm.

This development was revealed by the speaker of the House of Representative Hon. Yakubu Dogara noting that presidency have assented 22 of the 25 non budget related bills.

Dogara said

“Of the 25 non-budget related bills assented to by the Presidency since the beginning of the current administration, 22 emanated from the House of Representatives committee charged with the responsibility of reviewing of obsolete laws and updating the nation’s statutes books.”

Some of the bills passed are Telecommunications and postal of fences act amendment bill sponsored by Hon. Lynda Ikpeazu, University of Abuja act amendment bill sponsored by Hon Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Water Resources Act Amendment bill by Hon Ossai Nicholas Ossai among others.
