The recent release of the WhatsApp status feature has been one of WhatsApp’s biggest paradigm changes recently, and after the addition of the massive new feature is seems WhatsApp is now in the polishing phase.

The company has just released an update to the app which takes it to version 2.17.88.0.

According to the changelog the update merely brings “Bug fixes and various enhancements“, which is probably just as well, as some users are reporting receiving status updates from strangers, which cant be a good thing, suggesting some work is left to be done.

We reported recently that the removal of the old Status bio line was an issue for some, and that the company was exploring the use of the name Tagline as an alternative in their WhatsApp beta app.
