ADAGE OF THE DAY AND ITS MEANING

Yoruba: Ṣágo ḿbúgò, ó ló ṣẹnu gbáṣọ́rọ́.

English Translation: The demijohn insults the bottle, saying the latter has a long snout.

Meaning: It is silly to pick a blemish one shares as the basis for insulting others; the pot should not call the kettle black.
