Wearing of trousers by Nigerian ladies has generated a lot of controversies. People have continued to argue if the practice is sinful or not.

While some churches welcome and promote it, others preach against it. Those who are against it base their stand on Deuteronomy 22: 5, which says: “The woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.”

Churches, which do not condemn wearing of trousers by women, believe that grace has put an end to such law.

Some people, especially young females, decide the church they will attend based on whether wearing of trousers is allowed or not.

It is unbiblical for women to wear trousers: Do you know that apart from the popular quote in the bible Deu. 22:5, that women should not wear what belong to men vise versa, have you not read that verse in the bible that particularly mention something about trouser; Exo. 28:42, Eze. 44:17/18. The word trousers in the bible was BREECHES, it was God Himself that commanded Aaron and his two sons to be putting on trousers while working in the temple. before then there was nothing like trousers at all, or do you want to tell me that Aaron and his two sons were women. Bible says ''run away from those things that have an appearance of evil'', now they may not be evil , but for having the appearance .... run away from it . anything that have a questionable characters. To you women... don't try to justify yourselves by saying that the people that brought Christianity even wears it, what concern god with that, the race it am going to heaven and not that we are going to heaven...is an individual race. I hope you realise that men started wearing these things before women.
