Some "Nigerians" are still suffering from a tenet of colonial indoctrination, specifically paternalism. Paternalism saw the European powers adopt a parent-children relationship with their African citizens. Europeans (Parents) always managed and judged the children (Africans). For their part, the children (Africans), often had to justify their actions and existences. In this instance, if some Nigerians weren't still afflicted with the need to justify themselves, they would see clearly that citizens of India and South Africa are guilty of xenophobia and are the Nations that should be judged. South Africa and India are barbaric Nations. Those nations should be at pains to repair their tarnished images. |
