TheHistorian:

To Begin with,Congratulations on your admission.

You won't know how lucky you are until you see aspirants with higher aggregates than yours who are as at presently have not been compensated with any course(no matter how unpopular it is).

To your question,Both courses(Sociology & Human Kinetics) are not under the same faculty and are not even inter-related whatsoever. So,you won't be able to change after your first year.

As Bobola will often say to people,It's advisable you gladly accept the course now and then re-take UTME this year and re-apply for your desired course in any institution of your choice.

Once Again. . .Congratulations bro.
but someone said we cant matriculate twice in ui?

Really, that's what most people say.I'm not totally convinced that shii is implemented.

What if the student voluntary withdraws?

Do they capture fingerprints?

Even Bill Gates went back to Harvard after dropping out.

Now, listen attentively.
What he was saying is that it is a general theory that you can't matriculate twice in UI but he did not believe it because it is not implemented properly because there is not fingerprints verification in UI

To add mine, it is very possible to matriculate twice but you must have first withdrawn from your first admission by writting to the Dean that you want to suspended yourself from the course

You're right jare.

what about those guys that paid 15k for p.utme tutorial ,7 days before the exam??

We all know there is nothing like transparency in Nigeria. but some people can argue blindly and bet with their life.
so does the paying 15K affect their store or what they payed to learn.ure Saying it like they paid the 15K to help them cheat or something thats not right. And about the one of people saying random scores these are the people who just propose different funny theories to support their sh!t. I know a prof's child that had 49 in the post utme and failed to get admission. Immediately he finished the exam he knew what he had done and knew that score he got was not random. I don't see any blind argument here at all.

so...you mean, being a lecturer's/professor child would set person free from being flawless
what course was he/she applying for??(cause it depends)

if the prof's child/ward attended the tutorial and still score below 55....he/she must be a real dullard like Nigerian government.

did i say the child of a professor is flawless in my statement.? Pls read again. The guy didnt attend the tutorial..he was just not "well" prepared for the exam,. Assuming you had failed would you take it kindly if someone calls you a dullard??..i feel really sad with the way you reasoned that out dear.

On a serious note, I tell people that once your admission gets to the point of change of course, the probability of getting admitted is 0.2.

Reason is this, after change of course, people who applied will be arranged according to their sores and admission will be offered to people with high scores alone ( except in cases where children of lecturer apply, they're only required to meet the initial cut off mark of the course they're changing to).
Now as regards your case, economics cut of marks is 65.13.
Your aggregate is 58, let's assume you changed to psychology, aspirants with scores higher than yours 60-65.10 who couldn't get economics will also change to same psychology you changed to will be admitted before you. That's just the logic.

During coc, you just don't need to score pass the actual cut off of the course you're changing to, you need to have a very good mark to fetch you admission.

Coc is very dicy, in year 2015 I knew a lecturer's son who scored 71 He picked medicine initially , changed to veterinary medicine with initial cut off mark of 50 and didn't get admission because vet pegged their coc cut off at 72. It affects everyone.
...nice info dude... My bro as 60+ met the course cut off marks.. But wrong subject combination... He was advice to change course.. I'n which he did! Now another palaver. Out of 9 o'level subjects.. He has 7subjects...he failed 2subjects. .the two subjects are not important or necessary for his course... He as not been admitted.. But what I noticed was that no one has been admitted in the course he changed to that's adult education... Now he's having sleepless night
