We’ve seen several iPhone 8 concepts attempt to bring the device to life, but they’ve mostly been based on rumors (and plenty of imagination). Today, however, we may be getting our best glimpse yet of what Apple’s upcoming device will actually look like.

Now, this is a little tricky. The pictures you see aren’t actual schematics for the iPhone 8. Instead, they were drawn up by Benjamin Geskin, who regularly creates renders based on rumors. What’s notable about his newest images, however, is that they’re supposedly based on sketches of a prototype from within an Apple factory.

So, yeah, it’s like six degrees of Kevin Bacon over here.

Obviously, the sketches aren’t very high quality. But they supposedly confirm some changes Apple is set to introduce. The dual camera arrangement, for example, will be tweaked so the lenses are vertical, not horizontal. Meanwhile, the front of the device won’t feature a home button, and instead feature a “function area.”

There still appears to be a power button and volume rocker, despite rumors suggesting Apple would get rid of them. There’s also no 3.5mm headphone jack, just like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

According to previous reports, the iPhone 8 will supposedly feature an all-glass design, a fingerprint sensor under the display, a curved OLED display, wireless charging, and several biometric features, including an iris scanner. The device will also allegedly sport AR features, something Apple has previously said is a big area of interest.

Although Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 8 in September, the Cupertino company may not release the device until October or November.
