This could really be confusing,is it the husband or the wife that holds the family firmly, what's ur opinion?
Re: Who Is Really The Pillar Of The Family? by Fhemmmy: 3:12pm On Dec 30, 2009
It could be either of the 2.
But it is supposed to be a man, but in some home, the woman is the one with the balls

The wife is the pillar of the family, the husband the head of the family.

you are right it could any of them. but, speaking in the normal family scene, the woman is usually the pillar and the man the head.

God is the overall Head

The Husband is the Pillar and the wife is the scaffolding that keeps the pillar upright.

Without the pillar the scaffolding is just there with nothing to support and without the scaffolding, the pillar is not stable and can find itself swaying from side to side.

good point

very true, the husband is just a figure head,it takes the wife to actually hold the family together, therefore she is the pillar.

1. That is not true . . .

2. One problem with modern day family life is the problem of trying to separate the man and woman into exclusive roles in the family. . . the reality is that: when the man and the woman really love themselves, those roles can change at anytime and as many times as possible. Hence in reality no single person is the pillar of the house.

3. Hence neither the Man nor the woman is the pillar of the family . . .

A man who loves his wife would sometimes do house chores and even cook while she rests . . .
A man who loves his wife would treat her as he treats himself . . . such as allowing her to make decisions for the family . . . when he knows he is not in a position to make a better decision . . .

Pillar, Glue , Support . . .those are just various english grammars that tend to mean the same thing . . . with respect to the context . . .

The two shall become one . . .meaning that apart from the natural biological restriction of child bearing, there really should be no restriction as to what the man and woman should do in terms of roles in the house.

Nevertheless, the man still remains the head of the house not becuase the man is better but simply because The Creator made it like that. . .

- If the man and woman are truly in love . . . there is no single pillar in the house cus they would be behaving as if they are a single person. . . hence though the children and outsiders would find it hard to know which of them is really holding the family together.

-----------------------------------------------------------

From the spiritual perspective . . . The Creator is the pillar of the family

i am the pillar of all mankind kiss
Re: Who Is Really The Pillar Of The Family? by No2Atheism(m): 9:44pm On Dec 31, 2009
One of the sign of a good and loving family is when both the Man and Woman become so into each other that its impossible for either to make a decision without the input of the other . . .

Hence at the end of the day . . . the very idea of saying one is a pillar and the other is not then becomes very superficial . . .
Re: Who Is Really The Pillar Of The Family? by H2O2: 9:49pm On Dec 31, 2009
They both are pillars keeping the family erect.
