The Irony Of Corpers Who Married Without A Job by Joejoe12(m): 10:34am On Apr 13, 2017
It happened. In a city of the deaf and blind, where criminals are the lawmaker, where thieves sat upon the throne of wealth of the Nation and make the good citizen to suffer hunger, where injustice is the order of the day just because of bag exchanging hand in the court of law, where abnormal taking the position of normality, where but calls the kettle black, where harmed robber is to investigate thieves, where fraudsters are the Banker, where fake replaces the original, thieves sitting in the passport room of immigration, where police are the worst enemy of the citizen, where soldiers are taking bribe, where court marriage is the court of extortion, court of justice now the court of injustice, where civil service is a self-service, where job is given based on personalities, where the best are the worst, first the last, where little enjoy and many suffers, where corruption is no more corruption but small stealing, a city where nothing is working well or on the right path, where lawmaker are the lawbreakers.
Hunn! Haa! Who shall save the city from human destruction?
It all started in few years ago in a city of deaf, when the two lovers met during their service to the city. They come knowing each other after being posted to serve in the same local government, same town, same PPA, same CDS group, same Corper’s lodge, and same Corper’s fellowship.
They both graduated from a reputable Federal and State government institution respectively in the City of deaf with good grade.
The lovers came to know each family just after their compulsory one year service to the City of deaf, on these note therefore agree to marry each other, with the hope that at least one of the graduate will get job before their marriage. It was unfortunate that, none of the Ex- Corpers were able to secure job in the city of deaf before their marriage. Meaning that, their Country which they have faithfully served for good one year has failed them in securing a job.
Habba! Ho city of deaf, why have you failed your good and faithful citizen? Why did you turned to bite the finger that fed you? Why have you given back nothing to your faithful citizens who have given their one year to serve you even in a strange land? Why do you choose the bad above the good? Why did you choose to feed the once that are killing you at the expense of those that watering you?
To god be the glory, the two graduates got married without no one of them having job. The marriage expenses were taking care of by the parents even after sending them to school. The challenge becomes bigger after the marriage when the man with the bigger responsibility could not carry out his duty to provide for the home, a beautiful and lovely family nearly turn to a celebrity marriage if not for the intervention of God. What a shame on a Nation that eaten up her citizen.
Just to be brief, glory to God who has not let the family down, even at the time of this press report none of the graduates has gotten a job. When I asked how they live, feeds, pay rent and other expenses, the reply has been God using families and friends, what a waste.

@Op, no matter what happens, try and have at least small respect for ur country. Without Nigeria, there wouldn't have been Nogerians. It's still our country no matter the challenges it face in its growth and development process. Most advanced countries equally faced some challenges during their own time of growing and developing.

On the issue u raised, the couple's attitude is also a predisposing factor for what the country faces today. They should have tried and build a career first before joining together. It's only by certificate. Opportunities abound in this country for serious people especially business-minded entrepreneurs. See what they are using us to do in this recession. They will buy s/thing N10 and sell it N500 because of 'dollars'. No career is too small to sustain s/one. It depends on commitment.

Graduates should stop this paper-dependence. It's limiting their potential. Tell me how couple's parents who can foot their children's marriage bill, will not be willing to support their children if they chose carrer first. They are very lucky to have such good parents.

Tell me again, how a jobless couple will raise their children to the taste of modern Nigeria without money to send them to good school, take career of all their needs etc.

It's high time Nigerians realized that we should control our emotion (love) instead of the other way round. Real love never dies.

I wish them well oooo but they should note that more challenges are still lie ahead. I am not prophesying doom but let's face the reality. With age and marriage responsibilities disqualifying them from certain jobs, employers looking for younger fresh graduates with working experience, etc, it is better they think of engaging themselves gainfully either in trade or hand work and from their think of upgrading their qualifications for greater and better job opportunities.

This is my opinions though. Other lovers should learn from this story whether it is fictional or real life story. Happy Easter to my christian brothers.
