UNCOMMON WISDOM!

*حكمة غالية*

سئل الطنطاوي رحمه الله عن أجمل حكمة قرأها في حياته فقال: لقد قرأت لأكثر من سبعين عاما، فما وجدت حكمة أجمل من تلك التي رواها ابن الجوزي رحمه الله:

إن مشقة الطاعة تذهب ويبقى ثوابها.. وإن لذة المعاصي تذهب ويبقى عقابها.. كُن مع الله ولا تُبالي.. ومُدّ يديك إليه في ظُلُمات اللّيالي.... وقُل: يا رب ما طابت الدّنيا إلاّ بذكرك.. ولا الآخرة إلاّ بعفوك.. ولا الجنّة إلاّ برُؤيتك..... صافح وسامح.. ودع الخلق للخالق.. فنحن وهم راحلون.. افعل الخير مهما استصغرته.. فإنك لا تدري أي حسنة تدخلك الجنة.

At-Tantaawee rahimahullaah was asked, "what is the best words of wisdom that you've ever come across in your life?"

He replied: "I have read for well over 70 years, and I have never found a greater wisdom than the words narrated by Ibn Al-Jawzee rahimahullaah that says:

"The difficulty and stress encountered in the course of obedience to Allah shall wear off but the reward shall remain. The enjoyment and pleasure derived from disobeying Allah shall disappear while the punishment shall remain. Be firm in your obedience and servitude to Allah and do not mind (the impediments and tribulations). Raise your hands up to Him in the darkness of the night and say, "O Lord there is no joy in the world except through thy remembrance; and there is no felicity in the hereafter except by thy forgiveness." Be lenient and forgiving. Leave the creatures to their Creator. We all are going to die someday. Always do good no matter how much you belittle it for you do not know which of your good deeds will earn you paradise."
