Recipro what angry nope, ur visa expires there and u are not a freeman. But here no one knows or cares if u're a foreigner without a visa angry u're always a freeman. Nigeria is too free for all, u walk freely and do as u like as a foreigner, no one gives a hoot undecided

So long as there is reciprocity from their countries of origin I see no problem. But it could flood the country with aliens.

That's the point I was raising.
I was enjoying the thread until he and some other non nigerians started this negative comparison.
What if a thread is created describing the beauty of Nigeria in comparison with the ills of kenya

It just a pity, a beautiful thread brought down to nothing. Even calling Nigerians stupid, threading insults, argument.

All same Kenya is a beautiful city.

Let me first and foremost say that I am not what you consider a patriotic Nigerian neither do I have hope as regards Nigeria's future as a country; I see Nigeria's future from a state by state basis; some will do well while some will likely become worse off. However, I condemn the foolishness of some certain been-to Nigerians who would go to another country; probably one -city- countries like those in East Africa and then regale us with tales of how those countries are developed and Nigeria is backward. They will tell us of the Universities they saw in the "One City", they will tell us of the infrastructure they saw in the "one city"(which sometimes are even not up to what is in Lagos), they will tell us of the elite hospitals they saw in the "one city" and then conclude that this one city countries are better than Nigeria in health care while deriding Nigeria's own elite hospitals as way out of the reach of the common man to count. Some of these people don't even know Nigeria that much. They will stay in Lagos mainland all their lives and then when they travel to Nairobi's Central Business District they will use it and say "Kenya better pass Nigeria". What manner of stupidity is that?
I dare say that for every road Kenya and the rest of these countries have, Nigeria has them. If not in Lagos or Abuja, then Calabar and Uyo.
For every factory factory they have, Nigeria has it too. If not in Lagos then Anambra or Ogun.
For every tourist attraction these countries have, Nigeria has them in Calabar or Yankari.
For every University these countries have, Nigeria has its also If not In Ibadan then In Ota(Covenant University)
For every serene area they have, Nigeria has it too In Calabar,Enugu or Abuja.
It is funny when people claim that Kenya has a better Sewage or water system than Nigeria by just basing in Nairobi meanwhile Abuja where I stayed for 6 years has a very efficient water system.
I personally feel that this habit which Nigerians put up is either due to ignorance and inability to research using the right metrics or the outright belief that anything foreign is better than Nigerias(as our colonial masters thought Let me first and foremost say that I am not want you consider a patriotic Nigeria neither do I have hope as regards Nigeria's future as a country; I see Nigeria's future from a state by state basis; some will do well while some will likely become worse off. Bro, BedLam has said 99% good things about ur country, and from these pics and what he has a Nigerian feels there. U can see from the thread that Nigerians live ur country and won't mind a visit. He told us a lot of areas where your country is better than ours and we take it as very objective. The only part I have heard him say that somewhat looks bright in the comparison is the part where Kenyans take Nigerians they see as wealthy, and I've heard these from other parts of Africa as well. So why not let that slide, u seem not to want to accept that fact lol. I'm actually like Bedlam's objectivity in his experience, at least for once we can see all the goodies there in Nairobi and not the bad news we keep getting here.

But BedLam, u never show us those Kenyan babes with mad figure 8s o, ur tour ain't complete without that cheesy wink

Someone gullible will read this your post and think what you have said is true. How can you say that people are all in their homes by 12,are you saying we don't have night life here? Smh, I pity you, I don't know who you are but I doubt you are above 15 years (no offense)

So my trips to America and UK doesn't count for being in developed countries? Open your eyes and see what we have, I pity anyone that will form an opinion on Nigeria based on the views of desperados on nairaland, you guys are misleading people who don't see how you look but only judge your words unfortunately

Dont misinterpret what they're all saying. Truely, based on the pictures in this thread, there are far more advanced buildings and many better looking areas in Lagos, even cleaner places especially on the island but is Lagos or even Nigeria a good place to live in? Hell no and I am Nigerian. There's no system here and even the government aren't organized. High rate of corruption, Nepotism, insecurity( except you stay in a high brow suburb), No electricity, etc. You'd be surprised to know that many African countries do better than us, we might be pace setters and very rich in Africa but what's the use if greedy politicians keep hoarding funds for their generations unborn? I'm even thinking of leaving here and finally migrating to Canada. Fed of of the ShiƄ show called Nigeria.

It could also be because Nigeria is a big brother in West Africa. Smaller nations will take advantage of you while being protective. It could be an ECOWAS thing.

No electricity? Migrate if you want but stop all this nonsense about no electricity. There are places with 24/7 electricity in Nigeria, take note. If you've ever stayed in Phcn quarters or bonny Island you will know, besides if you want 24/7 contact any Alaba authentic solar panel merchant and they will install solar panels with 24/7 light supply or visit MTN office and opt for Lumos solar 24/7 light. Always complaining but never looking for solutions, we are so damn lazy, get yourself a solar panel!

PS :if solar electricity is not available in your state instead of destroying your country on social media star contacting foreign companies that supply solar light via Internet, you never know which ones will respond and you can become a millionaire, must people think for you? Quit complaining and start using the brain God gave you

I'm on silence mode, will not respond to any other mediocre post, you can complain all you want, who cares.

Your criticism is fair, but may I correct u that Kenya is not a one-city -state. There are sevral other booming towwns and cities apart from Nairobi.

Mombasa (the second largest city, a major tourism hub and the second busiest port in Africa after Durban....), Nakuru, Kisumu, Eldoret, Thika, Nyeri, Malindi, Lamu....and several hundred other smaller towns.

I dont know where u pipo get this notion that other countries in Africa have no other significant cities except their capital, it perhaps narrows down to the fact that u are ignorant about other places and that u are not well travelled.
Kenya has numerous other well infrastructured towns and cities.

-
So Bonny, PHCN quarters and any other residential areas for corporations make up the whole country as a whole? Clueless.
-
One of the reasons of tax collection is provision of funds for Capital projects to provide electricity, water and good roads.
-
I dont know if you're a part time clown or something, see your mouth like Lumps Solar, the monthly bill of that thing is like the same exorbitant PHCN bills.maybe you don't know the cost of installing and maintaining a solar electrical system is expensive and only the rich can afford.
-
What makes you think you can just talk to any company abroad and they'll pack their load here to meet you? State of your delusion. You'll need lots and lots of paperwork and lots of cash to invest also. How many can do that? I believe you already have done that since it seems easy to you.

What you wrote up there is complete rubbish and make -0.000000001 sense. Fela wasn't wrong when he coined his chorus " suffering and smiling". Nigerians like you would die in their grandeur delusions while the elites keep laughing at your plain Stupidity/ignorance.
