Different Beliefs Of Christian Churches, Which One Truly Is Of God? by Nobody: 4:04pm On Apr 23, 2017
Although Christians believe we worship the same God, but through different methods, but this seems untrue because our beliefs aren't convergent but are totally different and contradicts one another.
Here are a list of popular branches of Christendom and their beliefs, surprisingly as different as they appear to be, they operate or have some backing from this bible which supports their actions or beliefs.
1. The Church of God with Signs Following and The Church of Lord Jesus with Signs Following are the name applied to
Pentecostal Holiness churches that practice snake handling and drinking poison in worship services, based on an interpretation of the following biblical passage:
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover,"
—  Mark 16:17-18
Beliefs and practices
Worship services usually include singing, praying, speaking in tongues and preaching. The front of the church, behind the pulpit, is the designated area for handling snakes.
Rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, and copperheads (venomous snakes native to North America) are the most common, but even cobras have been used. During the service, believers may approach the front and pick up the snakes, usually raising them into the air and sometimes allowing the snakes to crawl on their bodies. The snakes are considered incarnations of demons, and handling the snakes demonstrates one's power over them. Members are not required to handle the snakes. Some believers will also engage in drinking poison (most commonly strychnine ) at this time.
Over sixty cases of death as the result of snakebites in religious worship services have been documented in the
The United States . If a handler is bitten, it is generally interpreted as a lack of faith or failure to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit. But individual incidents may actually be understood in a variety of ways. Bitten believers usually do not seek medical help, but look to God for their healing. Beginning in 1936, six southeastern states outlawed snake-handling. George Went Hensley died in
Florida in 1955 from a venomous snakebite.
2. Cherubim and Seraphim:
founded by Moses Orimolade Tunolasi in 1925 received media attention when he claimed to have healed a girl named Christina Abiodun Akinsowon from a long term trance of which she could neither speak nor hear.
the C&S group claim to have dreams and visions that facilitate the connection of God and humanity.
- they base most of their worship methods and objects of worship in the new testament and book of revelation
- the object used includes candles (represent light) backed with Revelation 3:1-3
-incense which they believe drives away evil spirits.
- they wear the white garment as a form of uniform and believe that garments should be the dress of the faithful because Christ wore it during his suffering, crucifixion and resurrection.
3. Celestial Church of Christ:
African initiated Church founded by Rev Samual B. Joshep on 29th September 1947 in Porto -Novo Benin.
-The name of the church comes from the bible Deuteronomy 26:15
-They have several banned things which include tobacco, alcohol, and eating pork, faithful must remove their shoe for prayer.
- menstruating women and those who have recently given birth are unclean and cannot attend church events for seven days in the first case after which they would be sanctified.
4. Olumba
Founded 1956 by leader Olumba Olumba Obu in Calabar. it maintains the founder to be the holy spirit, thus giving him the attributes of both God and Jesus Christ
- members believe in reincarnation
- They generally believe in love towards other men
-God is bio-spiritually interconnected with all things in nature
-Jesus did not have time to fully communicate his beliefs before the crucifixion.
-Medical beliefs, They simply do not believe in medicine of any form
Backed by the book of Revelation 12:1-5
5. Catholics:
They believe Jesus Christ is the son of God.
-They bible is an inspired, error-free world of God
-Baptism the rite of becoming a Christian is necessary for. salvation, whether Baptism occurs by water, blood, or others
-they existence of the holy trinity (one God in three persons)
- Questions have been asked by various groups whether Catholics worship Mary? Catholics respond by saying they don't worship Mary but rather are honouring her and asking for her intercession on their behalf. but the fact that Catholics have a statue of Mary will always raise some debate whether they are disregarding Gods commandments about worshipping idols or man-made God.
6.Jehovah Witnesses
-based on bible teachings of Charles Taze Russell (founder)
- teach that the present world order which they perceive as being under the control of Satan will be destroyed by a direct intervention of Jehovah.
-Jehovah witnesses have rejected the idea that Jesus Christ died on a cross and instead teach that he died on a single wooden stake and regard the cross to be of pagan origins and an object of idol worship.
-Jehovah Witnesses do not believe that Satan lives in hell or that he has been given responsibility to punish the wicked, they believe Satan and his demons were cast down from heaven to earth.
-they don't celebrate either Christmas or Easter because they believe the Bible teaches that it's Jesus death -not birth or resurrection that should be celebrated.
-they don't practice faith healings
-they don't accept blood transfusions because they believe the Bible commands that we should not ingest blood.
- they don't believe in going to war or getting involved in political matters.
there are much more which I failed to include in this post because of the numerous numbers, but some questions I would like to ask includes.
A. Why do we have so many different branches of Christendom?
-this factor has caused the deaths of different families, hatred towards members of other churches ( as each individual perceive his or her beliefs as superior),
-Wars and killings,
- Nepotism ( as members now form the habit of helping only their church members and ignoring others)
B. Is the Bible really accurate?
Thanks to modern science, we now understand the basic explanations to some unknown phenomenon example the shape and size off the earth, eclipse of the sun etc which were unexplainable in the 15th century, The church in those days killed a lot of scientists (mostly those was believed that the earth was round in shape rather than flat as taught by the church)
This alone shows that at least the Bible isn't 100% accurate, but most of these religious practices were derived from the bible.
C. the most important of which, Which is the preferred doctoring of God?
feel free to add yours.

While no church is a ticket to heaven, some are gateways to hell.

The existence of multiple denominations that have contradictory doctrines and beliefs goes further to prove that Christianity is a sham. You all claim to have the same holy spirit but your holy spirit can't make up his mind?
