Following the decision of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to grant bail to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, on Tuesday, DAILYPOST looks back at some prophecies released at the beginning of the year by some notable men of God.

Some of these clergymen had predicted that Kanu would regain his freedom in 2017.

Nnamdi Kanu, the founder of Radio Biafra and leader of pro-Biafra group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, was arrested on the 14th of October, 2015 at the Golden Tulip Essential Lagos Airport Hotel and has been in prison for over 2 years.

One of the prophets is an Enugu-based preacher named Anthony Nwoko who in January said Kanu’s release will not exceed this year.

Speaking on a topic: “2017 a year of liberation for Biafra”, he said 2017 is a golden jubilee of Biafra spiritual battle in Nigeria.

He said, “Ndigbo has run the race; and only those who have run the race well will be crowned.
“So in 2017 God will lift Igbo nation above other nations; 2017 is a year all the Igbo detainees across the 36 states of Nigeria on account of agitation for Biafra will be released.”

Also in his series of prophesies 2017, the General Overseer of the Pastor of the Champions Royal Assembly, Abuja, Bro Joshua iginla also predicted the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

He had said, “The agitation of Biafra will take another turn. Pray so that this time it should not be bloody. We should pray for Kanu Nnamdi, the biafra leader, because I see an health challenge and I see bitterness and agitation from this same region he is coming from.
“And I pray the current administration is very sensitive over the case of Nnamdi Kanu because what I see is not too good. May the Lord keep Nigeria. Will he come out? Yes! How will he come out? I can’t really tell. I see it as something divine. I don’t see legal issue as a means of removing him from there.”

Kanu was granted bail on health grounds.

Also prophesying for the year in Asaba, Delta state, the General Overseer of the King of Kings Deliverance Church, Prophet Emmanuel Chukwudi, made it clear that Kanu will be released this year and that would lead to the actualization of Biafra.

He had said, “Tell pro-Biafrans to stop shedding tears. Their leader Nnamdi Kanu shall not remain in prison custody for too long again.
“He is already on his way out. As for their [pro-Biafrans] agitations for Biafra, the Lord says it is already in the horizon. Their day shall come soon.”
