TODAY HAPPENS TO BE THE MOST HAPPIEST DAY IN MY LIFE

TODAY I DID WHAT I HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE

TODAY I PUT SMILE ON SOMEONE'S FACE SACRIFICIALLY.

I attended a seminar at Ojulew Studio, at Okota road. The seminar was about FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITIES (HAVING EXTRA INCOME OUTSIDE YOUR NORMAL INCOME).
I was interested to invest in the business.

I needed #25,000 to invest in the business.

I was not with such amount there.

So I went back home to take an ATM card.

The nearest bank that is close to my area (Itire/Ijesha, surulere) is Access Bank, at Ijesha Market.

So I took my Access Bank ATM card.

As I alighted at Ijesha Market from tricycle (marowa). I sighted a girl between the age of 20-25 years feeling so RESTLESS, WORRIED and walking up and down.

So I went to her, greeted her her and asked her if she was okay.
Initially she didn't answer me.
But I continued asking.

She shouted at me I'M FINE! LEAVE ME ALONE!

I turned back and left.

She walked up to me as I was going and 'brother I'm sorry sir, I have a very big problem'.

I asked 'I thought you said you are fine'.

She said 'I'm sorry I think you can't be of help in solving my problem, that was why I said so'.

I said 'then why are you telling me now when you know I can't be of help in solving your problem'.

She said I just want to tell you'.

Then I took her out of the road into a nearby shop, we sat down and I ordered for cold malt for her.
I asked her what she would like to eat. She said nothing.

When she finished her malt, I asked her to tell me what the problem was.

See my brother, she brought out her ID card. She is a 300 level student of university of Benin.
I suppose to be in school by now.
She started:
I ought to be in school by now.
We resumed on Monday.
But right now I have nothing to go back to school with.
I'm going to drop out from school because no money for my widow mother to continue my school expenses. At this point she started crying...

I asked her how much she needed to go back to school.

She said #100,000.
She listed all that #100,000 would cover including her room rent.

I didn't know what to say again.
After few minutes of silence.
I stood up, paid for the malt and asked her to follow me.
We walked down to the Access Bank.

At the Bank I inserted my ATM card.
I checked my account balance.
It was #113,613 and some kobos.
I didn't know what to do next.

I just started withdrawing twenty twenty thousand naira.
I withdrew five times (which is one hundred thousand naira).
I handed everything to her.
And said to her 'Go back to school.

She said 'brother everything for me...?'
She jumped up and scream!

I started begging her to hold herself to avoid drawing people attention to us.

She ran and came back and said:
'Brother my number'.

I said 'what happened to your number'?

She said 'so that you can call me anytime you need me'.

I smiled and told her 'no need for your number'.

She said 'thank you sir! Thank you sir! My name is Joy'
Then she ran.

When she left. I went back to the ATM machine to withdraw the #25,000 that I needed. Unfortunately my balance was thirteen thousand something (not up to twenty-five thousand naira that I needed for the financial investment that I wanted to invest in. I couldn't go back there.

Though I felt bad FOR MISSING THE INVESTMENT, but I was SO HAPPY and FEEL SO FULFILLED FOR PUTTING SMILE ON SOMEONE'S FACE.

This is the first time in my that I will give out a SACRIFICIAL GIFT (A GIFT THAT CAUSED ME SOMETHING) to a TOTAL STRANGER.
