Great men, without any human, spiritual or political calculations or qualifications, have been made great without any pre-plan or preparation for such exalted positions.

Examples abound from Alhaji Aliyu Usman Shehu Shagari, to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, to the late Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, and his able successor, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

But Jonathan stands out in the midst of these men. Without any aspiration, except that he wanted to become a Commissioner in Bayelsa State at the onset of the present democratic dispensation, rose from deputy governor to governor; vice president and acting president due to circumstances beyond his control and most instructing, unclear and unknown to him.

That is why during the course of his six years outing as president of the most populous black nation, he never took for granted, how the hand of destiny raised him from the serene environment of Otuoke, a fishing community in Bayelsa State, to the presidential villa.

As in other climes (only that some political rascals often times try to play God), some politicians would think that the position ascended by others were made possible through treachery. And in that state of illusion, try to outdo one another. Ours has not been different considering the enormous and high level political treachery that took place during the Presidency of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.

And what was their primary problem you may ask? Jealousy! One man who exemplified this was the ex-Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In his delusion that without him, no one could freely pilot the ship of Nigeria, conjured all manners of political ingenuity to make himself relevant. One thing that is most baffling is his pontification as a democrat per excellence.

Without mincing words, the so called Asiwaju of Lagos and Jagaban of Borgu, is a double-faced politician who says one thing in public, and execute another from behind-the-scene. Like it is often said that "only truth will stand the test of time," the book written by Olusegun Adeniyi, titled "Against the Run of Play: How an Incumbent President was defeated in Nigeria," has succeeded in exposing the real Tinubu.

Having earlier fed the public with how much intrigues were involved in the making of his protégé Vice President of Nigeria, the truth oozing out of Adeniyi's book showed that Jagaban only reluctantly conceded the exalted position to Professor Yemi Osinbajo, having exhausted all possible means of clinching the position, including the staunch opposition by the current Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai and Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Chapter Seven of Adeniyi's book exposed the 2Face politician Nigerians, mainly the so-called progressives, have been contending with. Even in the face of nursing so much hatred with the principal actors of the infamous vice presidential ticket, Tinubu was in Kaduna sometime ago to commission some projects for el-Rufai.

In fact, on November 11, 2015, he drove in the same car with the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory while launching the new Kaduna Taxi Scheme and yet, harbouring such malicious thoughts.

Nigeria can never progress with the likes of Tinubu and his cohorts. And as 2019 approaches, Nigerians should be wiser not to have anything to do with a leopard that changes its skin at any slightest opportunity. Thank God President Muhammadu Buhari, realising who Tinubu really is, gave him the political treatment of his life, hence, his present political oblivion.

I don't hero-worship him but one thing I notice about this very man is that, whenever he is in the tornado of critisism he always keep his cool but he will surely make his critics' intellect look so supperannuated or out of fashion by the time of another election.
Most of my Pdp top dogs can testisfy to this. You cant just take that away from him.
You guys should feel free to bookmark this page so that by the time 2019 election is over, you will come and read it again.

Tinubu should not be allowed to become the VP even with the overwhelming pragmatic approach he has brought into politics but the likes of clowns such as the drunk one from Otueke should be allowed, the midget troubling Kaduna state should also be allowed.

In as much as every Nigeria politician is a crook, shoulder to shoulder Tinubu as proven he as more to offer than every politician since the introduction of this dispensation. If not across Nigeria his progressive initiatives resonate clearly in the SW. The achievement might not be enough compared with generated revenue but vividly beta than what the PDP as to offered.

Slowly but steadily we are getting out of our infrastructures deteriorating right in front of our very eyes and until PDP or any other party is willing to do beta I will go with Tinubu devilish intention of milking with slow pace of development to PDP all mouth n no action of running Tinubu down while the nation is dilapidated.
