The best thing to do is just focus on other things that will take our minds off the process till they are ready cause it's possible resumption is in January.

The race is for the patient ones, we are close to the finish line (I wish things were different though, I had to make tough decisions all cause of my love for EY)

I know, but it can't be January, I'm thinking latest mid November and earliest Month End.

It took PwC about three months(May 9-July 24) before they gave applicants feedback after the final interview. I think most Nigerian companies have this delay tactics. They thrive on the faulty labour protection system.

I heard about the PWC wait too, but my question is : to what end , why delay that much?
even if they are having some other pressing issues to attend, they could at least send mails after two three weeks so people will know their place

I wish I have an answer to that. I guess we'll know 'why' when we get into the system.

You've said it before. 3 weeks turning to 2 Months. Ijeoma at least tried by reaching out but waiting for 2 months to know if you are in or out is poor. They can only console us by taking at least 80% of us

That was why i said 80% minimum

Abeg, they should just be getting other offers o, so they can reject EY and give more people chance or if anyone can Link me with ExxonMobil i don't mind deleting EY

We can only complain for so long, at the end of the day.. they’ll still send it whenever they want to send it.!

It should be heading to 3 months now. Wow. Patience though is one thing in business and also career growth, we need to get used to. Don't stop learning during this wait, it will end in praise.

INTERVIEW FUNDAMENTAL ISSUE
1. Candidates do not get paid for the interview time while interviewers are paid by their companies. So wasting candidate time is considered fine. No, it is not.
2. There is no standard time to get back. My personal standard - by the morning of next day (is this ever possible in Naija). Why is it so difficult? Yes, we all typically don't buy the first car we see but people are not cars.
3. Interviewers come to interviews unprepared and read CV in front of a candidate for the first time. That's unprofessional just like not getting back to candidates in time.

My point is, not just EY alone but all recruitment teams in companies in Nigeria need to improve their feedback process. It is a sign of unprofessionalism to keep a candidate in the dark for so long about their recruitment status. These candidates are humans with feelings and a LIFE. Don't treat them like a piece of wood (even carpenter self value wood ). Please improve your recruitment process. Restructuring or downsizing or rightsizing is not a tenable excuse!

Don't worry i'm not a familiar face to you

My opinion. I think EY should consider the costs that went into the whole process, from tests to the last stage. They might end up loosing top candidates (assets) to other firms or other Big 4s due to this wait. We all just hope the wait doesn't exceed longer than what it is now.
In the end, our patience shall bear good news hopefully.
