My question to NNPC is what stopped you from building your own strategic petroleum products storage or expanding the existing ones we have? Why must you store a strategic petroleum products in a storage tank owned by a business individual? If you knew there was likelihood of theft, why did you go ahead in the first place to ask him...in fact to beg him? Is Ifeanyi Ubah stupid to steal from such delicate venture, knowing full well he is being monitored? I worked for a while in the downstream sector in Nigeria. It's not only Ubah's storage facility that is used by the government for storage. There are a number of other oil marketers who own storage tanks that are part of the PPMC throughput agreement. And contrary to your belief, every of these marketers are paid per litre for the storage facility they offer. So it's not a free service to the government by a patriotic citizen as you mentioned.

Note that I am not saying he committed the offence, I am only commenting on the skewed part of your writing.

P.S: I represneted the company I worked for at over 4 PPMC stock reconciliation meetings, where I also met representatives from Capital oil and some other oil marketing companies.

Capital oil already made it clear that NNPC was owing them and they took the value of what NNPC owed them and refunded the rest back to NNPC, no offense there, he can't loose in court if the matter is taken to court which I doubt the FG will do.
