As shared on his Facebook timeline, Ifere Paul a social media commentator captioned “Victims of Calabar Electrocution Cry Out Loud For Help To Stay Alive.” and he also gave a brief story about the ugly situation below…

One on the injured victim of the Nyakasan electrocution incident that happened in Calabar Municipality, Mr Ferdinand Anok is at the point of dying.

I heard that the arrangement for him to be flown out to South Africa for treatment was concluded yesterday. The medical team that were suppose to go with him have already been given visas.

Information available is said to be that monies has not been release for them to travel til now even as he is under point of death.

This morning, according to a close source with information to the victim, “maggots has infested the wounds and faeces and other internal substances are beginning to come out from the wounds around his chest and stomach.”

Is this man going to be allowed to die after surviving the ordeal that left no fewer than 9 people dead? There had been so many pledges and promises from government, please the authorities should do the needful.

It will be a disservice to humanity to make promises to the living and then allow them to die because you don’t want to redeem the promises so made.

Our governor should be advised properly.

Come ooo, so they didn't know Nigeria is one hell of a country where that accident will just trend for 1 or 2 weeks and be forgotten? Where they thinking everyone will be on their case.

We need to teach them how Nigeria failed system works.

Well, I wish them quick recovery.

Useless country no shame to send its citizens to South Africa for treatment and it claims it is the giant of Africa.
A country that doesnt value the lives of its citizens to provide a devoloped health care and one that its citizens must cry for help which may never come is never worth d loyalty of it citizens.
Even Syria at war has better healthcare system that Nigeria. In Syria even in make shift clinics u dont see patients on the floor but in a useless doomed Nigeria it is.

Many nairalanderd may not understand how bad it is until God forbid any person is in a health condition where u will be referred abroad and u can imagine d cost especially now that Naira has no value. The cost ofnvisa processing before u talk of cost of treatment.
Useless Godswill Akpabio claimed to ve built a world class specialist hospital in Uyo but went to London for treatment telling us lies or not believing in the legacies they claimed to ve left behind.

If all animals are equal, then this man deserves to be flown to London same place the President is because he is also a citizen of this country. The carelessness was as a result of same government that we pay tax to and also pay for the light of which is not been given. Once they restore this useless light, calamity occurs hence we are having a problem whereby young men who love to keep themselves happy watching football and forget the severe hardship this country has bestowed on them, ended up dying.

They want to build a standard viewing center to honour the dead but are keeping quiet about the health care of the survivors. That's Nigerian politicians for you
