WHEN President Buhari dies

WHEN President Buhari dies, he would be honored and eulogized as one of the most selfless Nigerians of his generation.

He would be remembered as a war hero who still carries war injury shrapnels in his legs. He would be remembered as the Brigade commander who sent Maitasine packing and saved Nigeria from Chadian invaders. People will talk about the former petroleum minister who doesn't have a common petrol station not to talk of an oil block.

WHEN Buhari dies, we would remember him as the Honorable officer invited by his colleagues to lead a government to reshape Nigeria after politicians took us on the path of ruin 79-83. Buhari will be remembered as a tenacious democrat who tried and failed 4 times to be president and stood by the electoral and judicial system.

WHEN he dies, he would be remembered as the transformational president in difficult times again when our nation was sliding into economic and political anarchy. A man who lived a spartan, exemplary life unlike many of his peers.

No matter the level of your hatred for him (simply blind hatred from ethnic and religious bigotry) if he should die today, they would not make your father president. They would not give power to your brood of haters. The constitution will enthrone the next in line.

Buhari is 74, a grand old age you need to pray to your God and live well to attain. By the grace of the guardians of our destiny Buhari would not die now but will live to complete the work he started.

But should he even die, only HONOR and GLORY await him. His place in history is certain. WHAT ABOUT YOU you despicable, vile people with your miserable hate filled lives? What awaits you at death? Are you certain of tomorrow?
