The lawmaker representing Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South federal constituency of Enugu state, Hon. Patrick Asadu, has stated that the worst of the administrations led by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is far more better than the current All Progressives Congress, APC-led government.
The ranking member of the House of Representatives made this assertion on Tuesday while accepting to chair an ad hoc committee set up by the PDP lawmakers to find a solution to the party’s crisis.
Accusing the APC of making Nigerians poor by leading the country into “an avoidable recession”, he stated that the country has now returned to the state of nature owing to government’s insensitivity to the security of lives and property.
The Rep member said, “The PDP government was not and could never have been perfect, and few human endeavours are totally perfect, but the worst of the PDP government is 100 times better than the best of the present APC government.
“We are all witnesses to a party under which the government has not only impoverished our people by leading us into an avoidable recession, without a single clue as to how to get us out of it but also runs a government under which all truly democratic institutions are under siege.
“The PDP cannot and will not be allowed to die just like that while this rot continues. We shall stand shoulder to shoulder with all members of this very important house of reps PDP caucus under the able leadership of Rt. Hon. Leo Okuwa Ogor and his team, with the senate caucus of the PDP, with other party organs, leaders, stakeholders and members alike, no matter which opinion or on which side of the present divide in the PDP they stand and indeed Nigerians who are obviously hurting from the mistake of the 2015 general election.”
Asadu asserted that the PDP House caucus has what it takes to intervene and decisively resolve the present crisis plaguing the main opposition party.
Members of the committee are; Tajudeen Yusuf, Rimande Shawulu, Nkiruka Onyejocha, Kingsley Chinda, Toby Okechukwu.
Other members include: Akinlaja Joseph, Joan Mrakpor, Okwu Samson, Ben Nwankwo, Sunday Marshal, Ali Isa and Simon Arabor.

Not much difference but those wasted 16 years of PDP is still fresh in memory. If we have 16 years of an APC with right man in leadership Nigeria will be a better country. I don't pray for another PDP government in years too come, way too corrupt.

The Rep member must be hallucinating.
For him to even bring up the ugly memorial of the 16 locust years of the PDP with audacity is shamelessly pathetic.

If the PDP could have laid a solid foundation in the past we wouldn't have been where we are. But instead they choose to loot with reckless abandon in the era of plenty, splitting the crumbs among the peasants and window dressing the true state of the economy.

Today, we are only facing the unavoidable realities of the PDP ugly past.

PDP is the only CAUSE of the current problems we have now. 100% cause. It is so clear if you have reasoning ability you will see the graph. Let us cut it from at Abacha regime. That was military and we did not vote for him.

The country was handed over to OBj and he drove the economy up by more than 300 percent in 8 years but encouraged cultsm, miltias, mlitancy but tried on corruption and failed.

The great failure of PDP was wasting our surplurses and unbelievable corruption.

Nobody can rewrite our history.
The late PDP of not so blessed memory was a party of thieves who were only interested in the national purse.

As soon as the purse was taken from them they began to fight amongst themselves with many already abandoning their camp.

What I can say is that since my salary ain't intact again, stuffs increasing everyday and there are states owning months of salaries. Then I can conclude that PDP is better than this lying current administration...

No doubt. But those who are biased will compare today's suffering, mismanagement, tribalism,nepotism, cronyism, favoritism, and of course political deception with that of the previous government. They lack focus, plunging the country into economic doom within a short time. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO REMOVE US EASILY FROM RECESSION BUT, INSINCERITY WILL NOT ALLOW THEM DO IT.
