"Is Governor fayose qualified to contest another governorship election in ekiti state ". the reason is because, there is his posters allover the state with inscription " Fayose for continuity in 2018", "Fayose for 2018". please I want serious contributions.

Not qualify, he can't take oath of office more than twice.

He cannot be sworn in 3 times eventhough he was expunged out of government in his first tenure.

Ago Fayose is in his second term and ineligible for a fresh term.

Him/his party won election into the office of Governor in 2003 and was sworn in. His term of four years kicked off immediately and was meant to expire in 2007. Though he was impeached (legally or otherwise), what the constitution made clear is his four year mandates terminates on May 29, 2007, whether he completes it or not.

His second term kicked off in 2014 and is to expire in 2018.

He is ineligible for another term.

Fayose for continuity simply means he wants to nominate and install the next governor. He is not planning to contest.

Fayose's impeachment was illegal. That was the Supreme court's verdict. That means before the eye of the court, he was never impeached and can never be referred to as an impeached governor..
In the light of this, I agree with you that he cannot contest a governorship election again. He will however anoint his successor, being the man of the people..
